SLC Bars

Please keep in mind that Utah has the strictest DUI laws in the country with a blood alcohol limit at only 0.05. Just want to mention this, because we've all had to adjust to this new lower 0.05 threshold by planning our rides accordingly. I always recommend Lyft over Uber, because for some reason it's cheaper in Utah. Oh! And always make sure to have your ID on you. You will not be allowed in the door of a bar without one. Another weird Utah state law...And while I'm at it...if you want to buy craft beer, wine, or spirits you have to go to a state liquor store. The majority of these wine or liquor stores close at 7pm and closed on Sundays. You can absolutely buy beer and hard seltzers at a gas station or grocery store. However, the selection is limited.
Small and intimate craft cocktail bar. Definitely a unique setting with a lot of fun options for drinks (they love their tiki drinks there). Outdoor seating available and nearby some other great places (Laziz Kitchen, Blue Copper Coffee, Templin Family Brewing, Fisher Brewing). Admittedly I'm not a beer drinker, but people really love Fisher and Templin Family.

One of the newer and more popular downtown bars in SLC with great bartenders. Alibi is nestled in the heart of downtown so it's also fun to walk around the area. It does get pretty poppin' on the weekends, but I've always had a blast there.

Also in the heart of downtown in it's new historic building location is BTG wine bar where they have the largest by-the-glass wine selection in the city. Lou curates a wonderful wine list that will satisfy any kind of wine drinker. (Tell him Katie says hi!) Another plus is that upstairs from BTG is Cafe Molise where they serve tasty, tasty Italian food.

Located right in the middle of downtown is Copper Common where there's a large outdoor seating area and one of the bigger selections of spirits in the city. The food is also super tasty so you can make a meal out of it, too!

I love hanging out at this brewery. Its super laid back, spacious, and tons of outdoor seating. I don't drink a lot of beer, but this is where all my SLC friends gather for a local brew. I certainly enjoy the food trucks that rotate out front!
