Wide trail near the city great for walking, running, biking, or families. The trail follows alongside the Chattahoochee River. Main loop is a little over 5k, with additional options for going on smaller spur trails.

Great spot near the city for hiking in the forest. There is a beautiful viewpoint over the Chattahoochee River and access to the bamboo forest which is a hidden gem! Staring at this trailhead the entire loop is around 5-6 miles.

225 Baker St NWA must-see! Piedmont park is great for walking, biking, playing sports on the lawn, picnicking, and beautiful sunsets. You can also visit the botanical gardens, relax by the lake, take your dog to the dog park, or go from the park right to the Beltline for food, drinks, and shopping.
Parking is free on the neighborhood streets directly south of the park. I usually park on Myrtle Ave.

The train/bus system MARTA is not recommended. Ridesharing is the best option. If you are visiting for a while I would recommend renting a car.
