If you don't know the word "Kitsch" yet, you will know it afterwards. Especially in winter and around Christmas time this coffehouse/pastry shop is a great experience and offers some life music.

A restaurant and wine bar, this place is on the "touristic" side, but still worth a visit. Next to the beautiful wooden interior the restaurant offers an adventurous challenge: If you can climb over the wooden beam in the lower room, and if you can drink a glass of wine hanging from the beam head over, you can write your name on the wooden wall! (Some also say that you get wine for the whole night, but that is not confirmed).
Its more difficult that you might think! We saw people failing a lot.

If it happens that after Schober and a few other stops you are still in Niederdörfli llate night, Gräbli is one of the last stops, open almost 24h. Its one of the oldest bars in Zurich (at least it looks like it :)) and attracts a diverse crowd.

You can reach that place for instance taking the bus in front of our house to Bürkliplatz along the lake (around 5 min.), then walking there. When walking to this place, basically the center of Zurich old town surrounded by the star-shaped water channel, you see the most essential parts of old town. Itself Lindenhof is a nice place to visit that gives a view of "Niederdörfli" on the other side of Limmat.
