Nico's Kailua is awesome ! The owner is a talented chef serving up seafood entrees that would cost twice as much at a fine dining restaurant. They have a variety of tasty items at the Poke bar . My favorite is Furikake poke . Full service bar there too .

Zippy's first opened in 1966 and grew to 24 locations though out Hawaii . Zippy's best known for their chili and fried chicken but they have a wide variety on the menu . Most have both take out and dine in . Most locations open late some 24 hours .

Moke's very popular breakfast spot in Kailua . Finding parking is a challenge usually long line but worth the wait . Have to try the Lilikoi pancakes. Lunch menu is sandwiches, soups and salads . Great food and budget friendly.

Over Easy is fairly new to Kailua but is quickly becoming the favorite breakfast spot to many locals and visitors. Plenty of parking near by. It gets a bit crowded mornings but the crispy pancakes are worth the wait.

Parks & Nature
Lanikai means "Heavenly Sea" and you will understand the meaning once you arrive. Lanikai is just a little past Kailua beach park over a slight hill. At the top of you already can see two Mokulua islands just off shore. Skip past beach access 1 and 2 because it's just rocky reef. Beach access 3-7 are best. Pristine warm water,powder fine sand with Mokulua islands in the background is why Lanikai beach so popular.

The 2 mile trail is well marked and maintained by the city and county. The trail is very rough and muddy in areas and you will be crossing the stream. It's a very beautiful rain forrest hike the waterfall is awesome. You can easily climb up and jump off waterfall at several different heights into pool below.

It's a very beautiful rain forrest hike the waterfall is awesome. You can easily climb up and jump off waterfall at several different heights into pool below.
