Most folks will go to Grimaldi’s next door, but this place was created by the same people and I favor their pizza over Grimaldi’s. Grab a pie here and then walk over to the view of the Brooklyn Bridge nearby!

The fried chicken sandwich. Do it.
All the food is great. Highly recommend. A little pricey, but worth it. Good cocktails as well.

Pay to go to the top. The elevator ride up alone is a great experience. Everything is high-tech. Once you get to the top, you can rent a tablet and you can hover it over the cityscape and the tablet will tell you the names of certain landmark buildings.

Love the architecture. Has some high end shops inside. It’s a great hub to travel from downtown Manhattan.

In the winter, definitely visit the skating rink. Also buy tickets for Top of the Rock for great Manhattan views! Rock Center is also surrounded by a ton of shops.

Using the subway
I recommend downloading the app "Citymapper". It will tell you what subway car is the best to be in for your ride, and will also tell you which street you should exit the station on.
It also tells you when the next train is coming.
