Sightseeing

Charming is the word that best describes this little town just down the highway from Wind Walker Homestead. It has art galleries, fun little restaurants and restored historic homes. It is small enough to walk around the streets for an hour or so or do a driving tour.

Maple Canyon is about 20 minutes away from Wind Walker Homestead, just across the valley to the northwest. This is a popular and famous place for rock climbers that come from all over the country to tackle the challenges of this interesting conglomerate rock formation. Also a beautiful canyon for a hike up to an arch. A must see!

The Manti La-sal National Forest is beyond description in beauty and what you can do there. Hunting or Fishing the many lakes and reservoirs, 100's of miles of ATV trails, a snowmobile wonderland up on top at 11,000 feet. Can be accessed either by Ephraim, Spring City or Mt. Pleasant canyons. Much to do up in the hills or just take a scenic drive to get out of the valley heat in the summer.

City/town information

This pioneer town of Ephraim has a lot of charm and a few fun things to do. It is home to Snow College, student body of about 3200, has a Walmart (wow) and also has 1 of only 2 stoplites in the county. It has chinese, mexican and the malt shop which is a local favorite. Mc Donalds, Subway and a prime rib special at the bowling alley on Fridays..spendy but good.

Mt. Pleasant is another closeby pioneer town that is home to the other single traffic lite in the county (another wow). If you are looking for a great grocery store without the crowds of Walmart in Ephraim, then Terrels is the place to go. Very famous for the fresh donuts and Eclairs. A couple good malt shops right on main street that you should try out and a very good mexican restaurant by the hotel at the south end of town.

A fun town to visit and drive thru. It is home to one of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints pioneer temples dedicated in 1888. Manti also has a couple very good burger joints worth visiting. Dirks Farmhouse restaurant and Millers Drive thru and bakery are popular.

Also be sure to check out a couple good eateries here in Spring City. Das Cafe is great for breakfast and lunch. Roots 89 grill is a favorite for burgers, sandwiches, malts and fries. Be sure to also checkout the natural spring in the center of town. Constantly flows from an underwater aquifer and is the best tasting water you will try.
