A great place to visit with kids or animal lover! Lots of animals to see and interact with. Only a 5 minute drive from property. Just search Yellow River Animal Sanctuary. You can visit Hank, the turkey who used to live here at Ramsden Lake and now is the acting mascot at Yellow River.

A great place if you are celebrating or just want a really impressive meal in a very cool part of time. Great date night. And only about 15 minutes away. Ponce is a VERY cool place. Loads of amazing food options and shopping. A little more upscale than KROG street. The rooftop bar/restaurant is awesome. Also walkable to the belt line!

They don’t use MSG which is a plus and the Mongolian beef and crab Rangoon are really good! We grab this when we are having a date night at the tent and we don’t want to cook and just want something fast, easy and really yummy (closed sundays)

Grocery shopping
This is a Mecca for food lovers all over the southeast. This international market is our favorite place to find organic, high quality produce, baked goods and meats. They also have an incredible wine and beer selection.. they even have a whole section of organic wines. unbelievable prices. Stock up on spices while you are there! Trust me... so good and so cheap. We love their guacamole and chicken tikka Marsala if you want something ready made. Wonderful place to build a charcuterie board.
The is the famous Dekalb Farmers Market. Amazing prices and selection of fresh produce and meats. It is an experience in and of itself just to go visit! They have some really great exotic produce and fish as well.

This is the best grocery store that is close by. They have a Starbucks and everyone is very nice. Good quality food and nice environment we prefer it over Walmart and Publix but those are great options as well. They have plenty of organic options here and an extensive beer and wine section.

Delivery
BEST THAI food in the world. (And we have been to Thailand multiple times… ) small family owned business wonderful pad Thai, coconut soup and curry dishes. Everything is good and they deliver!
