This place is great! Large outdoor patio with fireplace and tv is lovely! We enjoy the rotating local beer options, Brussel sprouts, homemade pretzels and brisket fries! Sitting there during snowfall is magical!

Ferro is great for their outdoor seating! Inside seating can be limited. They have wood-fire pizza oven, live music and great food. The owner, Frank, also owns the Brewpub! He used to be co-owner of Cafe Aroma. Enjoy!

Kids playground in town
There is great playground in town. It is located next to the fort off Hwy 243. It is across the street from Shell gas station. We love to pick up breakfast burritos at that Shell cafe and pop over to the park. If you hike down from the park, you’ll find fitness stations and the lovely Strawberry Creek!

5th Generation Candy Store
Idyllwild Candy Cupboard has the BEST chocolate!! There are truffles, turtles, chocolate covered pretzels, and chocolate dipped ice cream bars. There is old fashioned candy too. It is a must during your stay!
