Recreational

Just 5 minutes from our front door is the base station parking lot and access point to the vast alpine playground of Grouse Mountain. The iconic Red Skyride Gondola gives visitors and locals alike the opportunity to see the jaw-dropping majestic nature of B.C. unfold in front of them during the 8 minute ride from the Valley Station to the summit. As Vancouver’s most popular attraction, Grouse Mountain is the only truly four-season destination in the Lower Mainland and features a wildlife refuge, vast selection of dining options, thrilling outdoor adventure(including the Grouse Grind hike), summer activities galore, the best in local snow sports…and much more. One thing is for certain: there is no place quite like the Peak of Vancouver.

Ambleside is a perfect place to spend the summer at the beach and go for strolls year-round while admiring the views of Stanley Park across the water and the ships going under the Lions Gate Bridge in and out from the port in Burrard Inlet. From Ambleside you can walk all the way to Dundarave, another little village area in West Vancouver. Along the way you will pass soccer fields, children’s playgrounds and sandy beaches. The main beach at Ambleside is beautiful. The sand isn’t always the cleanest, as it sometimes gets a fair bit of debris from the ocean, like small pieces of wood, but it’s nevertheless still very picturesque and a wonderful place to spend the day. The pier at Ambleside is also very popular, especially with people fishing. The concession stand at Ambleside is a convenient place to grab a snack while enjoying some fresh air.
