Located in the heart of the inner city, the Grote Markt (the Big Market) is the most central square in the city. It hosts a lively market three days a week, as well a number of events throughout the year. The south edge of the square is lined by some of the best bars in the city. As darkness falls, the square transforms into a thriving nightlife destination. Other signature landmarks are also situated on the square including the Martini Tower, and the Town Hall.
