Over 15 acres of open space with farmyard, play areas, gardens and lawns, orchards, wildlife meadows and woodland. There is lots to explore and all our animals to see (pigs, goats, ponies, sheep, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs and of course the farm cats!). You are very welcome to bring a picnic and there is ample space in the orchard, or use our picnic 'mushrooms' in the meadows by the river. The Cogges Kitchen cafe is open for outside seating from 10am to 3pm, serving hot and cold drinks, baguettes and salads, smoothies and milkshakes, ice cream, snacks and pastries. You do not have to be a visitor to the farm to come to the cafe. https://www.cogges.org.uk 2 km (1 mile) from the Witney Hideaway.

Get an idea of what it would have felt like to be Gulliver in Lilliput as you explore the only Grade II listed model village in the country. Created from local Cotswold stone by highly skilled craftsmen, it is a replica of the buildings that existed in Bourton-on-the-Water in the 1930s and shows how they are being used today (as banks, shops, meeting halls etc). Delighting children and adults alike, the attention to detail in the Bourton-on-the-Water Model Village is truly admirable. From the carefully pruned-to-scale Alpine plants in the gardens, to the choirs singing in each of the village's two churches - even the tiny model of the Model Village itself - no detail is considered too small to be significant. Make the Model Village your first stop on your visit to Bourton-on-the-Water and then spot the life-size versions of each of the buildings as you explore the village afterwards.

Do you believe in magic? The team at Fairytale Farm certainly do, with six fantastical zones all dedicated to play. Your little pixies can begin by paying a visit to some adorable animals, including The Four Billy Goats Gruff. Don’t worry though, there’s no troll under the bridge here! Next, wander along the Enchanted Walk before arriving in Jack’s Yard and visiting the locals in mouse town. Then, if you have the energy, round it all off at Huff Puff with jumping, swinging and climbing. What makes the farm a brilliant place for families is their focus on additional needs. Their dedicated team make sure everyone is in on the fun and everywhere is wheelchair accessible. There’s also a special sensory garden where kids can touch, smell and see an array of flowers, or listen to the trickling of the golden mermaid fountain while watching multicoloured fish glide along. Six fantastic play zones Designed for additional needs A sensory garden

The water park has 15 jets, weirs for making dams and a bridge and there is a forest hut for nappy and clothes changes. Toddlers have some dedicated equipment of their own; an adventure tunnel and honeycomb springer, partner swings for swinging side by side with your best friend, a toddler nest swing and a rope and log swing. The shallow end of the splash park is closest to the toddler play equipment area. There is lots of equipment suitable for juniors with an amazing swing that has a ball joint meaning that the swing is multi directional and pivots, swings and tilts in all sorts of ways. There are junior swing bays with a variety of swings including a bird’s nest. A zip wire, a tunnel that vanishes into a mound, a Supernova roundabout, a tepee village and a storytelling chair. For the really daring there is Witney Towers! You are unlikely to have seen anything like this before as it is a bespoke item and the first of its kind. It’s super-high and full of challenges for all ages. For quieter moments there is a peace garden and some edible walls and for nature lovers, a bug scope, squirrel and bird feeders and a bug hotel.

Birds of all different colours, shapes and caws have made their nest at Birdland; come and make some feathered friends for life. This is one of the largest collections of exotic birds in the UK with free-flying displays, feeding sessions and talks, as well as the England’s only breeding colony of king penguins. You can spot flamingos and pelicans or get in a flap over their Out of Africa experience. Some of the continents most curious creatures live here, in particular village weavers whose nest-building prowess is something to behold. Not everyone knows this, but dinosaurs have more in common with modern-day birds than reptiles. In fact, many of them even had feathers! Explore the similarity at Jurassic Journey where daring visitors can uncover fossils and see life-size dinos - just don’t forget to return to the present and meet guinea pigs, snakes and more at the Encounter Zone. The largest collection of exotic birds in the UK Travel back in time on a Jurassic Journey Don’t miss: Out of Africa

Opened by Geoff and Naomi Dalton in 1988, the Cotswold Falconry has developed into one of the leading Bird of Prey centres in the UK. Whilst you enjoy and admire their flying skills in the different daily displays, we intend for you to not only have gained an insight into their behaviours, but also take away an even greater appreciation of these amazing birds and a better understanding of their conservation needs. For those interested in a closer look at the birds, we offer individual Experiences in the form of Flying Starts and Owl Experiences. These are very popular and places often need to be booked well in advance. Experience participants do not have to purchase a day ticket admission. https://www.cotswold-falconry.co.uk
