Restaurants & Cafes

Here are some places to eat or to have a coffee that we have tried and recommend.
This is a great restaurant, especially for lunch. The view over the Maroochydore River is special. Ask for a table along the front to get the best out of your stay. We often call in for a coffee or drink and sit under the Cotton Tree and watch the pelicans and the rest of the world go by.

This is a really lively part of Mooloolaba with numerous cafes, restaurants and bars. The atmosphere is great . . .and best of all it is only a 10 minute walk from the unit.

Sightseeing

The walk along Mooloolaba Spit is great at any time of the day. However, it is particularly beautiful when in the late afternoon as the sun sets. Walk out to the entrance to the harbour and look back over Mooloolaba to get an incredible view of Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and the whole northern half of the Sunshne Coast. All of this is within walking distance of the unit.

Although you will need to drive approximatley 4km to undertake this walk, it is well worth it. Depending on how far you want to walk, park somewhere along Pacific Boulevarde then head north along the walking path right up to the lighthouse on the Point. The view from there is spectacular. Once you have finished admiring this, head down along the fenceline to the bottom of the hill where you will pick up the path again. Follow the beach until you come to the spit rock wall at the entrance to the Mooloolaba Harbour. A quick detour to the very end is well worthwhile. Then follow the path back alongside the entrance until you come to Labalsa Park. Here you will find a great cafe called One on Balsa. Head east from there and your car will not be far away. This is a really popular walk that provides glimpses of the eastern beaches, the beautiful view from the Point, the sheltered beach in the harbour and the huge number of amazing boats resting on their moorings.
