Cades Cove is a look into the past. This settlement has been preserved to be the same as when the last person left. It is an 11 mile loop that can be driven or some days biked. There are trails and a lot of wildlife to experience. This is a very popular spot so do expect traffic and check the National Park's website for closures and bike time.

I love driving here! Usually not as busy as Cades Cove and there are plenty of places to hike and explore. Lots of wildlife! My grandmother was born in a cabin in this area and remembers playing with the family in the Ogle cabin. She said her family had a garden plot in the area that is Mynatt Park at the entrance of the Nature Trail

This is such a great place to relax and unwind. I personally love the hot stone massage and get monthly pedicures. The spa strives to use healthy products that are environmentally friendly, cruelty free, and good for the body. Hands down the best spa in the area.

Ok, it is a little unusual to recommend a community center in a tourist town but I have to brag, we have a great one. In the summer there is a large outdoor pool with slides and diving board to enjoy. There is also an indoor pool, racket ball courts, basketball courts, bowling, group classes, and a gym. There is a daily fee that allows you to enjoy everything, the bowling is extra but very reasonable. My family uses the community center almost every day. It is also start of the Riverwalk that follows the river through town and ends at The Old Mill. Plenty of parking to access the walk for biking, fishing, and enjoying the river.

This little bake shop is so good. Locally owned by Shannon and everything is homemade. I buy all my son’s birthday cakes from Miss Shannon. She has cookies, cakes, cupcakes, and even icing shots. Your tastebuds will thank you for stopping.

Local Goat is a really good place to eat and they try their best to locally source their food. Everything is made from scratch down to their ketchup. They are popular and busy so expect wait times during peak dining hours but the food is worth the wait.
