Water/Trail Recreation
The main beach can get busy in the summer but is a great place to launch from if you have watercraft. If not you can take a hike to upper Thetis Lake. Halfway along the loop of lower Thetis follow the signs to upper Thetis. There are many places where the land meets the water for a perfect secluded swimming experience! Also, for hikers, off the main trails are smaller ones and some with vista peaks. Take the day to explore the area!

So incredible any time of the year! Beautiful blooms and rich beautiful landscapes year round. Great for a casual day of relaxation! Get in early, or go later in the day - midday can be quite busy. Admission is worth the while.

Grab a table on the patio for happy hour apps and drinks or go for the full dining experience! Tapa Bar is a reasonably priced hang out spot in downtown in a super cool alley that screams classic Victoria. It's been around for awhile, and there's reasons for that!

If you have the time for a lineup and superior food then visit JAM! Fantastic food, reasonable prices and big portions. The buttermilk biscuits are UNREAL.

This is a local spot for breakfast and while it's downtown counterpart is a bit more cool and hip - the breakfast is equally as amazing. Reasonably priced and a 5 minute drive form the suite.

This is a Victoria staple - and one of its location is local to us! Totally retro/ funky/eclectic diner in all three of its Victoria locations. The food is quick and amazing and the prices are reasonable too!

Best Indian food hands down that we have found (and we've tried a lot of places)! Dinner for two (without drinks) runs approx. $50-60. They offer takeout and delivery on Skip the Dishes.

The produce is good, the prices are fair for the island, the Chinese takeout is fantastic. Also, if you go to the deli counter and ask for pizza dough they will bring you a bag. So good.
