Producer/Director/Artist Mike Ginsburg was traveling in his bus back to Denver from the last Vegas Dead shows in 1995 when he stumbled into Mystic Hot Springs. He instantly realized that everything he was looking for was right there. Miraculously, he was able to purchase the resort. He’s been working there since 1996! He has used his artistic talent to add new soaking areas, restore pioneer cabins, promote many wonderful concerts, produce DVDs, create stunning lampwork glass jewelry, and bring a special energy to this wonderful place.

Monroe Peak is the highest point in the Sevier Plateau, which rises nearly 6,000 feet above the town of Monroe, Utah. The treeline here is higher than in the Wasatch to the north so the forest stretches to the top of the peak excluding the last rocky 100 feet or so. The easiest way up is to drive the dirt road from the Monroe to the summit. However, there are stops along the way that would make for some adventuresome scrambles and hikes to the summit.

Bullion Falls is a beautiful 75 tall waterfall located up Marysvale Canyon. This hike is out of the way and steep, but the waterfall is very impressive. The trail to the falls is pretty rough, and a bit dangerous. It runs 1 mile each direction (2 miles RT) and the first 2/3 of that can be done on an ATV as you will be hiking along an ATV trail. It’s really rocky, and mostly uphill. After you pass the parking area for ATVs, the trail has a drop-off on one side, but it is wide enough that you are not in a lot of danger.
