Kalamies Restaurant has excellent fresh fish and is located by the beach in a romantic atmosphere overlooking the Kalamies bay and the scenic St Nicolas Church (at a 7-10 minute walk from Villa Sofi ). I suggest you try mussels, grilled squid, grilled octopus and fresh fish of your choice.

Magazaki has excellent souvlaki and other charcoal cooked Cyprus dishes, prepared the way locals like to eat them. The restaurant is nice and the prices are value for money. Make sure to eat souvlaki in pitta bread.

A local taverna famous for its Kleftico. This is lamb meat slowly cooked for 3-4 hours in a traditional village firewood oven with potatoes and spices. It is absolutely fantastic! Make sure to reserve Kleftico when you call for your reservation. It is about a 10-15 minute drive by car.

Kouzalis Tavern, just 100 m from our villa on your way to the beach (across from Golden Coast), offers traditional cypriot dishes. Try the Kleftiko which is lamb slow cooked with potatoes in a traditional earth oven. It is delicious!

Getting Around
Buses 101 and 102 run from Paralimni to various areas in Protaras and Ayia Napa regularly. This is an efficient and cheap service if you do not have your own car. The bus stop is only 100 m away from Villa Sofi, on Pinias Street, near the small Supermarket. Take bus 102 to go to Pernera, Sunrise beach, Fig Tree Bay, Konnos beach, Cape Greco, Ayia Napa, Nissi Beach and the Waterpark. Bus 101 takes you to Paralimni where you can take intercity buses to Larnaca and other areas of Cyprus.
