Here are my favorite places to eat. Copenhagen has so much delicious food, but you have to take care when choosing your restaurant in the city center, as there are many expensive and not really great places there. Restaurant Vandvid
3 Ben Websters VejOSTERIA 16. This is the best restaurent in Copenhagen within my personal food budget. It is a small place but the food is amazing if you are into italian food. The staff is great and it is within biking distance to my houseboat (20 - 30 minuts by bike) The restaurent is located in the hip part of Cph: Vesterbro. You need to make reservation to be sure to get a table. Price: 300 kr/pers. for 8 dishes. This restaurent has to locations, I recommend the one on Haderslevgade. Website: www.osteria16.dk

Reffen – Copenhagen Street Food gastronomy and entrepreneurship all come together here. Bring your swim suit and towel and take a swim while you are there.

Kødbyen - the meat packing district. This is a place with MANY restaurants and bars. Also a good place for partying. The night club: JOLENE is a good place for clubbing in the night if you like electronic music. For eating here: Warpigs has tasty food and great beer. A bit expensive though. If you want somethings more healthy the salat bar: WEDO FOOD is my favorite salat place in Copenhagen. It's also located in Kødbyen.

The night club: JOLENE is a good place for clubbing in the night if you like electronic music. For eating here: Warpigs has tasty food and great beer. A bit expensive though. If you want somethings more healthy the salat bar: WEDO FOOD is my favorite salat place in Copenhagen. It's also located in Kødbyen.

This is were I would take my friends from abroad. You are welcome to ask for more info and tips of the beaten track ;) I love my city and I want you to love it too.
It is a fun way to enjoy the waterfront in Copenhagen. Sometimes the water is not so warm in the summertime and therefore I like a hot tub on the water.

It's a real treasure hunt of art from all over the world. A beautifull museum and it's free. There is also a great museum shop.

This is an alternative village within Copenhagen. It's a multicultural place in the summertime with great concerts and a very laid back hippie atmosphere. You can go for a walk around the lake and look at all the weird and beautiful houses. The walk around the lake in the Christiania area is around 1,5 hour. I really recommend this on a sunny day. You can get food and drinks within the center of Christiania. There are also many concert places here. This place is also known for the "Pusherstreet" a place where you can buy weed. I recommend a guided tour since the history of this place is unique. Ask around for a guided tour once you entered. Biking or walking around the lake of Christiania is a great thing and there are less tourists here.

This place feels like Denmark in my childhood. Local, calm atmosphere with cheap and great traditional food for a good price. Very much off the beaten path of Copenhagen. 10 - 15 minuts by bike from the houseboat. Walking there is also an option or even sailing.

Nabolag - different hoods I love
This is a very interesting and new neighborhood inspired by Amsterdam. It's close to the houseboat.
This is a special and new area of Copenhagen just 5 minuts walk from the houseboat. There are some nice cafe's and a houseboat restaurent. Take a walk around the area and end at the harbour bus stop. Take the harbour bus to the city center: Nyhavn, and continue exploring the city here.

Don't go to close for your photo ;) Bring food here and find your own perfect picnic spot. There is also a restaurant inside the park.

Biking is the fast way to get around in Cph.
There are many places to rent bikes, but this place has a good rating: Baisikeli Rent a bike. Take bus 18 from: ved slusen and get of at Sjælør St. Take the S train line A to Dybølsbro St. From here you walk to the bike rental shop (3 minuts walk) The adress is: Baisikeli Rent a bike, Ingerslevsgade 103, 1705 København. Find it on Google maps. From this location you are close to the city center ready to explore. This bike rental place is 20 - 25 minuts by bike from the houseboat.
