Here are a few local eats, activities, and entertainment if you're looking for something outside of the typical tourist attractions. Visiting these places will make you feel like you've explored real Orlando.
Although this is a mostly residential area, there are a few hidden gems that you can’t miss! Mikado Sushi has been around more than 10 years and has some eclectic rolls that are presented beautifully. Achilles Art Cafe is a unique laidback spot decorated with original art. It’s a great spot to work on your computer and offers tasty coffee and a large selection of wine. Teak neighborhood grill has some of the best burgers and fries in town, with plenty of different styles to choose from. You can choose the indoor pub style atmosphere or enjoy the weather on the outdoor patio area. Locals have been coming for years as they are a huge on sports and trivia nights.

You’ll feel like you’re in France at Le Cafe de Paris with its delightful atmosphere, plus the owners are friendly and always there. Bosphorous is a Turkish restaurant with many flavorful dishes to suit any palette. Seito Sushi has a relaxing after 5 vibe with tasty craft cocktails and sushi rolls. American Social is a new bar to the Orlando area with excellent happy hour specials including appetizers that really stand out from regular bar food.

This is an upscale area with plenty of nice restaurants and happy hours to choose from. You’ll feel like you’re in France at Le Cafe de Paris with its delightful atmosphere, plus the owners are friendly and always there. The Whole Enchilada is a cozy Tex-mex restaurant with amazing margaritas and one of the most inviting rooftop areas around. If you’re feeling active, rent bikes and take a leisurely ride down the West Orange Trail or visit Lakeview Park just a few streets away from the main downtown area.
