CNM is a scenic drive of beautiful rock formations and cliffs. Only 20 min. from Cozy Casa. You can drive the loop, stop at pullouts for pictures, and do the whole trip in less than 1/2 day. Look out for the big horn sheep frequently seen walking the road.

Grand Mesa is about 1 hour drive from Cozy Casa. It offers a scenic drive through the mountains with views of the Grand Valley. There are many pretty lakes and rivers, trails for hiking, and pullout vistas of The Valley below. You will frequently see wild animals. Be sure to stop in the visitor center. You can drive the whole loop in less than half a day.

Food scene
Palisade is famous here in Colorado for its fruit orchards and wine. Its peaches are big and juicy. In the summer and Fall there are many fruit stands along the roads. We love to take our friends and family to pick their own peaches and apples. The kids love picking their own fruit and eating right there in the orchard. Throughout Palisade are wineries that bottle their own grapes into wine and have tasting rooms. Every Sunday in the summer Palisade has a farmer’s market where you can get fresh produce picked that morning. The farmers man their own stands, visit with the patrons, sell their produce, and hand out free samples. It’s a fun day or half day with lots of good food, music, and great energy. Check out Palisade’s annual Peach Festival and annual Winefest. Only 20 drive from Cozy Casa. Not to be missed!
