When we were younger we loved to spent our summer days in the outdoor swimming pool of Tropicana, nowadays the amazing Aloha terrace makes us feel like we’re back at this tropical paradise again. An ultrahip dining facility, in which all the old and unique elements of the swimming pool are preserved. The wild water course, the outdoor pool, the rocks, everything is still in its old place, right between all the hip furniture and the added plants. This way they gave and old city icon some new allure!

Close to our house we have a beautiful lake I love to go to. Some call it Kralingse Bos (Forest), others the Kralingse Plas (Lake). Both lake and forest offer plenty of recreational opportunities. Especially nice in summer: beach and bathing area for sunbathers. Row, sail on the lake or dive in for a swim.
On the fields close to the bathing area we BBQ & picnic. The forest has tracks for mountain bikers, horse riding, fun-forrest-climbing and running. There is a playground and children’s farm. You walk around the lake in one hour.
