Fort Nieuwersluis is UNESCO werelderfgoed en is onderdeel van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie; een uniek historisch stelsel van verdedigingslinies en -werken die loopt van Flevoland tot Noord-Brabant. Van woensdag tot en met vrijdag en zondag kun je in de Kazernekeuken van Fort Nieuwersluis terecht voor goede koffie/thee, diverse sappen, heerlijke huisgemaakte taarten & andere zoete lekkernijen en lunch. Bij minder weer kun je gezellig (en warm) binnen zitten en bij mooi weer staan er picknicktafels in het zonnetje.

There is a bus station in front of our house. You can take busline 120 in the direction of Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena. There you can transfer to the metro in the direction Amsterdam Central station. You can also drive to Breukelen (closer to Utrecht) or Abcoude (closer to Amsterdam) train station, leave your car there and take the train. Parking is Amsterdam is pretty expensive and the historic city center can be hard to navigate.
