US98 was one surprise after another & after seeking a little more info via the web off you go.
Scenic vistas, cute diners & lovely towns & people. Can't stand the crowds any more, we get in the car and take Highway 98 down the "Forgotten Coast"--where the Florida Panhandle curves to the Florida Peninsula. It doesn't take long to change the crowded beaches of Panama City to the sparsely populated and somewhat rustic beaches of "real Florida." If you are tired of what I call "Las Vegas with a beach" on the panhandle--the Forgotten Coast has wide Get off the interstates & see the real America!
