The closest ski resort to the house! It is a family-oriented mountain, with a wider range of beginner and intermediate slopes than other nearby ski resorts; 50% of its slopes are graded "beginner" or "intermediate," the highest such ratio in the Salt Lake City area.
Snowbird and Alta are the two resorts up Little Cottonwood Canyon, about 30 min away from the house. You can ski each resort separately, or they are connected so you can get a joint ski ticket. Please note, Alta is Ski only--no snowboards are allowed.

The Midway Ice Castles offers a very unique winter experience! It is built using hundreds of thousands of icicles hand-placed by professional ice artists. The castles include breathtaking LED-lit sculptures, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides, fountains and much more. It's about a 1 hour drive from the house. Dress warm!
