Islamic Civilisation Park is known as Taman Tamandun Islam by the locals. The RM250 Million theme park was opened in February 2008 and houses, besides the Crystal Mosque, scaled replicas of several Islamic monuments across Malaysia and around the world, for example, India’s Taj Mahal, Jerusalem’s Dome of the Rock and so on.
Crystal Mosque is built with steel, glass and crystal, hence the name. This grand building sits over Terengganu River and welcomes over 1500 worshipers at a time. The view during the day is beautiful with the sun shining over its glass faceted exterior, giving the sparkling effect.

One of the sights to see at Pulau Duyung is this old "fort". Design, history and architect enthusiasts will love to walk within this house and enrich yourselves about the heritage and design aesthetics of this building which has Egyptian, Terengganu and European influences it seems. It was a bit run down when I went there, and don't expect museum exhibits here, but with a good tour guide who specialises in built heritage, you will marvel at the design ideas of the original architect of this house.
