Neve Tzedek was the first Jewish neighborhood to be built outside the old city of the ancient port of Jaffa. Shabazi Street is the main street through Neve Tzedek and, like many of the smaller side passages is lined with boutiques, galleries, and craft shops. Restaurants and cafes in Neve Tzedek offer the full range of food that Tel Aviv has become known for. There is something magical about sitting out in the shaded courtyard of an Oriental style building.

Located in the heart of the White City of Tel Aviv, Rothschild Boulevard is a commercial center, with major financial institutions lining the street, a cultural center, with the main theater and concert hall of Tel Aviv, a culinary center, with tens of top restaurants, and a leisure center, with the center of the boulevard popular with dog walkers, bikers, and some of Tel Aviv’s wealthiest and most beautiful who stop off at the amazing coffee kiosks found in the center of the street. When night falls on Rothschild Boulevard, Tel Aviv’s famous nightlife wakes up and Rothschild Boulevard comes to life with dozens of pubs and high-end bars, such as the neighborhood bar Poly, the lively Abraxas, the New York style Otto Rothschild, and the hottest ticket in town – the rooftop Speak Easy bar, with its spectacular view overlooking Rothschild Boulevard.

The Carmel Market (the Shuk Hacarmel) is the largest market, or shuk, in Tel Aviv. A vibrant marketplace where traders sell everything from clothing to spices, and fruit to electronics, visiting the Carmel Market is a fascinating thing to do in Tel Aviv. The hustle and bustle, vibrant noise, colors and smells, as well as its reputation as the largest authentic Middle-Eastern style shuk in Tel Aviv, all combine to make the Carmel Market a favorite place for everyone from first time tourists visiting the city, to locals who come here to get the freshest fruit and vegetables, and some of the cheapest products in the city
