You can't come to Monterey Bay without considering a whale watch adventure. Captain Kate has the best karma on the Bay - offering her guests some really special interactions with marine mammals and other occupants of our beautiful marine sanctuary.
There are plenty of whale watches out there, and many are very good. Blue Ocean has that something extra.

Need ice, bait, sunblock, a snack, some butter, or a bottle of wine? This place has a little bit of everything you might need for your stay or a day out and about. It's not fancy, but who needs that? The staff are all super nice, and their prices are fair. Also a great place to pick up a fishing license.

Beticia is an old fishing boat on A Dock in the harbor. The lovely cat lady on the boat is happy to show you the fresh catch, cut fillets to your preferred size, and give you tips on preparation.
Beticia's not much to look at, and she's a little eccentric, but the fish is fantastic, and there's nothing like fresh grilled fish in the cockpit of the sailboat at sunset to round out a perfect day.
