Just some ten minutes walk down the hill you will be right by the sea at the strait separating our island from the mainland. Here you can walk along the water on the promenade and get great views of the Amazing Skurubron bridge - first full concrete bridge in Sweden, built in 1905!

When visiting Stockhol you should definitely get an impression of our unique archipelago. With 40.000 islands it is as impressive as beautiful. If you only have one day to spend we definitely suggest you go to Sandhamn. Easily accessible by public transport, still located in the outernmost archipelago with wonderful panoramas of the Baltic sea, Lovely beaches and a typical Swedish old wooden town with it's picturesque architecture. Furthermore here is one of the most classical and cozy restaurants in the archipelago - Sandhamns värdshus! Don't hesitate to ask if you need tips about how to get there!

Perhaps an oddity and rather something for the urban Explorers amongst you, but when arriving with the bus at the terminal "Slussen", you actually can walk inside the parking garage on Katarinavägen street. As a matter of fact you will then be inside the biggest civilian fallout shelter in the World - constructed to give shelter to some 60.000 people for up to a month, hermetically sealed off from the outside world. And, guess what, it's still active and can be made ready for use within 48 hours!

Not at all typical Swedish but perhaps just because of it's genuine old school Czech atmosphere, great food and impressive beer Culture this is not only my favourite pub in Stockholm but definitely a beloved classic with many Stockholm people. Crowded but cozy!

Only pub offering "Westvleteren" vintage beers worldwide! Also great food, especially famous for it's "Moules" in different varieties.
