This is a pretty cool spot- I have to say, it's one of my favorite spots to shop and eat and see movies. Just unique and charming. Also right next to Farmers Market, which is nothing like a real Farmers Market- it's all shops and places to eat. But is a cool old part of LA history.

There’s a cocktail here simply called Celery—it has the tartness of a margarita, and the heat of a Bloody Mary. It’s a little more vegetal than your classic margarita, because they juice fresh celery and serrano pepper then mix them with fresh pineapple and lime juice, cane simple syrup, and Chinaco tequila. Sriracha lovers, this one's for you. Their charcuterie is awesome, their bakery is phenomenal, and their burger is the best I’ve had in a long time.

It's an Italian restaurant and bar; you go in and you're kind of transported. There are no windows, it's completely dark. It feels like it's been there for several decades. There’s something so rad about being in a bar where so many memories have been made. Whenever I'm at a bar that's been around for 20+ years, I feel obligated to order a classic martini. You should also be sure to order the off-menu pizza with sliced meatballs and jalapeños.

Sightseeing
These sights are very close to where you will be staying and are highly recommended.
The Observatory has been justly famous for decades as the location from Rebel Without A Cause. And a little less so for Steve Martin’s Bowfinger. With the release of La La Land, which has a whole musical number here, this location will be rediscovered by a whole new generation of movie lovers. Be sure to check out the bust of James Dean on the west side of the lawn outside the observatory. Also, for real star sightings: Go inside for the planetarium. Website: griffithobservatory.org
