They have some crazy breakfast item with a little bit of everything. My husband liked it. This is definitely a local kind of place. There are very few tables, and you feel like you’re in someone’s house. Better breakfast than the pizza place.

Kerr Lake dam has a 5-mile kayak trail that is actually on the lake Gaston side. It leads out to the main lake, but is rocky so there won’t be motor boats. Very pretty scenery. The sign says that it takes 3-4 hours to paddle the whole trail (round trip).

They have a bike loaner program. The trail is much nicer at the Weldon end.
