Oslo Opera House 5 minutes away from Mad Architect’s apartment is an architectural wonder with a fantastic location by the Oslo Fjord.
It was designed by Snøhetta and completed in 2008.
It is free to walk around and to take the trip to the top of the building (warning: can be slippery).

The Munch museum is not big, yet it has powerful and special paintings including the famous painting Scream. Great for experience greatness in short period of time.

Munch Museum
1 Edvard Munchs PlassThe Munch museum is not big, yet it has powerful and special paintings including the famous painting Scream. Great for experience greatness in short period of time.

Ekebergparken is a beautiful sculpture park in the forest of Ekeberg. There are sculptures and beautiful nature. At the end of the walk there is a great view of Oslo with a specially built viewing point close to the historical Ekebergrestauranten. It is possible to walk to the park from the Mad Arcitect's Apt. The walk is uphill and takes about 40 min.

Neighbourhood
The neighbourhood around Mad Architect’s apartment is new and modern. Sørenga was finished built in 2017, but the area around continues to develop.

City beach
City beach close to Yvette's Apartment with a private room for rent in the special Apartment building created by MAD architects (2015).
Sørenga Sjøbad is just a couple of minutes from Yvette's apartment. It includes a saltwater pool and a small city beach.
During the summer when the temperature in the water is above 19 degrees, I usually start the morning with going for a swim. It is really fantastic. During the rest of the year I regularly go and do my morning gymnastic here. It is such a nice area with the best view in Oslo.
In the summer it can get very crowded.

The atmosphere is friendly, food is great. Especially recommend the guacamole, which they actually make in front of you - a special experience.

- The Botanical Garden, at Tøyen (40 min from Mad architect's apt walking). No entrance fee.
- The Royal Palace (Slottet), Official residence address of today's Nowegian monarch. Free to walk around, and take a look at ching of the guards (when writing this 12.02.2020 1:30pm, but better control time)
