Gorgeous gardens, lovely homes, and stunning views. Castine is a lovely place just 20-10 minutes from Bucksport.

One of our favorite things to do in Bar Harbor is just sit on the rocks and build rock towers off the beach path. The town band plays on Monday nights, which we also enjoy.

It's really Camden and Rockland (and also Rockport, not far away). This area was just featured in the New York Times. Galleries, the Farnsworth, Mount Battie and Camden Hills State Park, the Camden Harbor, great shops and restaurants.

Darling's Waterfront has featured some fantastic music - people come from all over for some of these concerts. The downtown is wonderful , too - lots of little shops and restaurants and the Penobscot Theater Company for sure!

Stonington is a quintessential Maine town - one of the largest lobster ports in the country. You can break up the trip with Blue Hill and Deer Isle. There's an active drama/theater life in all three places. If you're into jewelry, check out J. McVeigh Jewelry - a must see! Along the way is one of the most fantastic views in Maine, a great bridge, and several cool beaches.
