In Stonehouse (2 miles from here) on the main high street, ( turn left on to the A419, go straight across at the roundabout in to Stonehouse. The King’s Head pub is a short walk away and serves food. The George in Frocester also serves food and is a short drive away.

There is a small local open all hours Co-op opposite Crown Court which has a wide range of commodities for sale and there is a small convenience shop opposite the Co-op which sells newspapers. There is a large Sainsburies in Stroud just off the A419. Turn right on to the A419, Sainsburies is just off the first roundabout you come to.

¬The nearest petrol station is behind Sainsburies. There is also an Asda just off the A38 on the way in to Gloucester which sells cheaper petrol. Asda can be found by following signs off the A38 towards Kingsway – it is right at the set of traffic lights off the A38.

The 66S bus route leaves on the hour to Gloucester and to Stroud. Timetables are on the bus stops. The Gloucester bus stop is just by Crown Court and the Stroud bus stop is opposite the King’s Head pub. There is a regular train service from Stonehouse to London Paddington and to Gloucester, Stroud, Cheltenham Spa etc.

We are so spoiled for choice. We are right by the Cotswold Way which is a short distance from our house. Other places for walks and wonderful views: Selsley Common The Stroud Canal walk Woodland Trust woodland Across many of the fields and by ways (N.B. Cattle may be in some fields. Cows can be very protective of their young.)

Doctor There are 2 GP practices in Stonehouse. High St. Medical Centre Tel: 01453 822047 Dentist We are not aware of an emergency dentist locally. However, there is a dental hospital in Bristol.
