PARKS—Across the street from my place, it is a long and sweeping park with a fresh and clean, wooded marshland bikeway to Mile High Stadium and downtown.
Denver just built a huge new playground as part of an ongoing $9 mil improvement to this park.

PIZZA—Yes, pizza is a category of it's own. Blue Pan is the most unique deep dish pizza you can ask for. Buttery, fluffy, crispy, and lighter than you might think, they call this "Detroit Sytle" and the corner pieces are the best. Fight over them.
Even if you think you need red sauce on your pizza (I usually do), order the 3-1-3.

3934 W 32nd AvePIZZA—Yes, pizza is a category of it's own. Blue Pan is the most unique deep dish pizza you can ask for. Buttery, fluffy, crispy, and lighter than you might think, they call this "Detroit Sytle" and the corner pieces are the best. Fight over them.

Vetted by all my CHI-town friends, this is the best authentic Chicago-style 'za in the city. There are three locations, but don't even start thinking this is chain-quality.
MEXICAN—This is the best sitdown Mexican in downtown, hands down. The oxymoron of upscale+authentic Mexican food has no bearing on the quality of their food.

JAPANESE—Domo is not a typical Japanese restaurant for sushi + ramen. You'll find delicious, unique, and rare Japanese food. They also have the coolest patio ever. Don't let the weird location fool you into thinking it's not worth going in.
