When in Seattle, you have to at least go and see the Space Needle. If you have the time though the view from the top is beautiful!

Growing up around Seattle, Alki Beach has always been one of my favorite places to take a drive. On nice days you'll find it packed full of people trying to soak up all the sunshine we can. There are also lots of cute shops and restaurants.

If you have the time take the quick drive out to Snoqualmie Falls. One of the best parts of Seattle is that you can be in the middle of the busy city, and with a 45 minute drive you can be out in the middle of nature.

Most clear days you can see Mount Rainer from the city, but why not get up and close personal with it? It is a bit of a drive from downtown but oh so worth it!

My favoirte Restaurants
Want to know a local's favorite places to grab a bit to eat? I have a great list of my favorites here for you.
This is my #1 favorite spot in Seattle! Not only is the quality of food AMAZING, but the price is great too! If you want to experience great sushi, this is the place to go! I lived in California for a few years and any time I was back in town, Nijo's was one of the first places to stop.
Can it get better? Lol! Yes it can! Their happy hour menu is Awesome too!

83 Spring StThis is my #1 favorite spot in Seattle! Not only is the quality of food AMAZING, but the price is great too! If you want to experience great sushi, this is the place to go! I lived in California for a few years and any time I was back in town, Nijo's was one of the first places to stop.
Can it get better? Lol! Yes it can! Their happy hour menu is Awesome too!
Ivar's also has an amazing happy hour menu! My favorite is their Salmon Chowder.

Ok, so if you have ever heard of how California has In-N-Out, well this is our local burger place! Very different from In-N-Out but oh so good! Better yet it's just at the bottom of Queen Anne hill, so walk down to grab a burger and walk back up the hill to burn it off. ;)

You may not think of a nightlife when you think of Seattle, but believe it or not there are some fun things to do at night too.
You can see a range of different comics, from people just starting out to well known names. They have a wall of fame where you can see pictures of the big names who have performed here. Better yet is that the comedy club is in the basement of a local bar. In Seattle though a basement isn't just any basement. It's actually part of the original Seattle. Don't be the last one downstairs after dark though, you might run in to some of the old pioneers.

Probably one of my favorite nights out! Keys on Main is a piano dueling bar. I don't know anyone who has ever had a bad time. Seriously so much fun!

If you enjoy football and come during football season, you have to go to a game ant Century Link Field. It is one of the loudest stadiums, and has even been known to create seismic activity. Even if you're not a Seahawk's fan it's still a really cool place to experience.

One of the great things that we have here in Seattle are breweries!
One of my personal favorite beers is Manny's. You can only get it on tap in Washington and it is "oh so good"!

Pyramid has some great beer! They do have locations all down the west coast, but here in Seattle, their location is just across the street from both our baseball and football stadiums.

Leavenworth is a Bavarian styled town, that has something fun to do or see all year round. As someone who is from Washington, Leavenworth is a must during the holidays to see the tree lighting. During the rest of the year they have a bit warmer weather than we do closer to the water. You can go river rafting, floating, and all kinds of fun things!

Any and all of the San Juan Islands are a great option to get out of the middle of the city. You can take one of our awesome ferries out to one of the many islands. Not only are they each their own but they can give you the feeling of being far from the city without being all that far from the city.

I have such a sweet spot for Port Townsend. When I went to college we actually would go out to Port Townsend for a entire week each year. Getting to explore the cute little port city and the surrounding areas was such a gift. You get the small town feeling by the water. There are beautiful old buildings and lots of boats to see.

Ok I am sure you have heard of the Twilight series. Well Forks, Wa is where it takes place. Known for the grey and dreary weather. Remember because of all the moisture, that Washington experiences, the greenery is like no other.
