Lodalen is a valley on the west side of Jostedalsbreen (the Jostedal glacier), in Stryn in Sogn og Fjordane which is known for Bødalsbreen, Kjenndalsbreen and the avalanche accidents in connection with the Ramnefjellet (the Raven mountain) in 1905 and 1936. In Ramnefjellet one can today see distinct wounds after the avalanches. The Ramnefjell waterfall runs down the mountainside, with Lovatnet (lake Loen) in the foreground. Spectacular, and rarely, very beautiful.

Skålatårnet is 1848 meters above sea level and is the largest in Europe. You walk on your own, there is an attentive path all the way. Magnificent views make the trip easier. At the top is the Skålatårnet which was named Norway's most original tourist cabin in 2011. It is a tower built of stone. It is possible to stay overnight. There are 22 beds. It takes about 5 hours to walk up from Loen.
If you want a top trip from Skåla to Lodalskåpa, this requires a good physical form and a locally known guide.
Highly recommend this tour, but seen off a full day, take breaks enjoy the surroundings and the tour. Gives a good feeling afterwards having accomplished this

Singerheimen is a special place in Olden, which in the past meant a lot to the locals there.
This was the home of the American millionaire and painter William Henry Singer Jr. and his wife Anna.
The property consists of 9 buildings, all except the mausoleum is painted in a special turquoise / green color. The villa was built in 1921. Unfortunately, Singerheimen is closed throughout 2019 when future operations are unresolved.
But can still be seen from the outside. Interesting story to read about, recommend seeing the place.

This place is called Loen Water, its 7 kilometers from here, and you can rent a row-boat for fishing, fishing is free.

Refviksanden Beach
Loen Skylift is a gondola that takes you up to the top of the mountain called "Hoven". Here is a great restaurant with spectacular views of the fjord and the Loen village. There are prepared walkways on the top. A nice nature experience that I highly recommend.
If you want, you can climb up to Hoven.
Via Ferrata Loen is an adapted climbing route from Loen to the mountain Hoven. The difficulty level is from A to D. From 900 meters above sea level there is the usual path to the top of the mountain Hoven. There is also a wire from entry 440 meters to exit 880 meters. In addition to a suspension bridge.
The view over the Lodalen is fantastic. You can book guided tours from Loen Active at Alexandra Hotel Loen.
It is also possible to walk up to Hoven on foot, there is a marked hiking trail to this.
