This is a little bit of a drive, but well worth it. They have one of the best distillery tours around. Beautiful area and very historical. Plus it's free! This is what Kentucky is all about. The other distilleries from closest to farthest nearby include Town Branch, Woodford Reserve, Wild Turkey, and Four Roses. Makers Mark is a great distillery as well, but about an hour and a half away. They all have free tours, just call or plan ahead.

This is a super store. So it has groceries as well as clothes and electronics. The other options are Walmart and Kroger, but I prefer here because of its location and cleanliness.

If you're looking for really fresh local groceries, this is the place for you. It's a little pricey, but not as bad as Whole Foods. I like getting the pre-made burger patties with cheese and bacon to fire up on the grill.

My favorite local restaurant. I personally like the buffalo chicken sandwich, but they make a fantastic hot brown. Their salads are excellent. Very fresh ingredients. They have several of these around town. All of them are great. They are part of Kentucky Proud.

Best pizza in town. NY style. Very large slices. Not much seating, but you can grab a slice for lunch and walk nearby to Cheapside Park or Triangle Park. Downtown.

Great steakhouse nearby. Some of the best cuts of meat in town. They also have a decent sushi menu as well. It gets quite busy on the weekends for dinner, so expect to wait.

I don't normally eat Vietnamese food, but this place is great! I usually just get the Chicken Pho. They don't do delivery, but being so close to the house I just phone it in and by the time I get there it's usually ready. There is plenty of room to sit down as well. They serve very generous portions too. So good!

They are very knowledgable and are well connected in the craft beer scene. They don't serve food, but will let you bring stuff in. Bourbon and Toulouse next door is fabulous cajon/creole food.

This is in my opinion the best local brewery in town. They have a fun little taproom with a patio. There are several other breweries with taprooms in the area. Could easily do a pub crawl.
