Food Scene

Moab UT has some great places to eat. Our favorite is Zax's Pizza and Milt's Stop and Eat. Moab is 50 miles from the Inn, but it's not far to go for a bike ride and a really great meal afterwards.

Everything Else

If you are in desperate need for a gallon of milk, Naturita Co, 30 minutes East of Bedrock on US 141 is the closest place for food and fuel if the Bedrock Store is closed. It's a small time, so don't expect a Starbucks or a 24 hour convenient store, you'll have to head west to Moab for that.

Parks & Nature

Drive south of the historic Bedrock store and take the BLM trail that winds through the canyon along the Delores River. Once you get past the gentle hum of the Salinity Plant, you will enter into complete silence that almost feels like a different dimension. The red sandstone cliffs rise up abruptly from the river banks. There is sage brush, Mountain sheep, deer, elk, Indian art, fossils, and more.

Arts & Culture

Stop in at the Bedrock Store and see if there are any old timers on the porch willing to share stories about the Wild West days of Bedrock CO. Bedrock was a hub for outlaws and bandits because of its remote, rugged nature. Then head east and turn down the Delores River Canyon Road (dirt road) that connects Bedrock and Uravan, Co. Look up to see the "Hanging Flume" an engineering wonder that will leave you scratching you head wondering "how did they do that"?
