Shopping

Built in 1926 and sometimes referred to as the Rodeo Drive of Florida, Worth Avenue has grown into one of the most recognizable shopping streets in the United States. The street first became fashionable in 1918 as Palm Beach was in its infancy, yet today it is the epitome of Palm Beach style featuring over 250 shops, galleries and boutiques including Cartier, Chanel, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Jimmy Choo, Wally Findlay, Louis Vuitton, Tourneau, and Salvatore Ferragamo; not to mention vibrant night life and a wealth of casual and fine dining restaurants. Following a $14 million renovation, Worth Avenue now has a fabulous new look with a striking stone clock tower marking the entrance

It was designed in the Beaux Arts style and meant to rival the extravagant mansions in Newport, Rhode Island. When it was completed in 1902, Whitehall was hailed by the New York Herald as "more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world". Open to the public as the Flagler Museum, it features guided tours, changing exhibits, special programs and private weddings.
