When it comes to Chinese cuisine, we always go to Hei Hei, as they have some of the tastiest dishes in the city.
They are great when you're on a budget, as they offer a variate, one-course lunch menu for £6.95. Make sure you don't miss the Salt and Peppercorn, the Chongquin Chicken or Gongbo Chicken dishes.

For £10-£15 per dish, you have the best Chinese dishes in town. A little pricier than HeiHei, but well worth it.
The Gung Bo Chicken is the best I've ever eaten, and the jellyfish starter is definitely not to be missed.

If you're in the mood for a burger, definitely pay a visit to Fat Hippo. The burgers are very tasty, they are variate (have a lot more personality than Five Guys or Byron - those are close by as well) and definitely get the dirty fries as well :)
PS: Mon-Fri they have a £6 lunch offer for single patty burger + fries.

Drink a coffee while you play with cats. What else could you wish for? For a fiver, you get a free drink and all the time in the world to play with the resident cats. Purrr.

Leazes Park is a beautiful place to spend a sunny day. It is rather small but has lots of birds spending their time on the lake, so you're in for quite a view.

It is beautifully light at night, and it raises for larger vessels to pass under. You just need to look out the window to see it :)

This is probably the most beautiful bar / club / live music venue in Newcastle. Besides the fact they have a tree inside, the terrace view is amazing, overseeing the Grey Monument square. And the cocktails are really, really nice!
