Situated in a funky building overlooking the harbour at Governors Bay, push your chocolate boundaries by trying the 100% cacao super hot chocolate. Tai Tapu Golf Club is situated just 16km from central Christchurch. This pleasant compact nine-hole course is not long but does demand accuracy off the tee to remain comfortably in the fairways. The fairways are tree-lined, the greens are generously sized, and each hole presents a different challenge. Clubhouse, including the Bar, is open most days during normal working hours. The Garden at French Farm sits on the banks of the lovely Te Waimangu Stream in the French Farm Valley on Banks Peninsula. It contains dramatic herbaceous borders forming a natural colourful amphitheatre above the stream featuring tulips, irises, daylilies and dahlias depending on the season. The intention of the planting is to tie the ornamental garden into the wider landscape with its magnificent backdrop of native bush and surrounding hills.
