Getting Around
This metro station has parking available, but if you need to take the bus go to the website http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/connector/routes/
and check out route 462 which runs from Electric Avenue (very close to the house), but it only runs at rush hour (morning and evening).
For other times walk 0.6 miles down Electric Avenue (to the right from Williams) and take the bus route 402 from Gallows. Bus route 401 is also available on the other side of the road - on Gallows - going toward the Tyson's corner metro but Dunn Loring metro is a little closer.
If I'm around, feel free to ask for a ride to the metro - it's only 5 minutes away, depending on traffic.

Big shopping mall - bring your comfy shoes! Lots of great stores and restaurants. Also, a food court with a kids area and a kids train that they can ride. There's a big movie theater there also.

This is also called Tyson's Corner 2 by locals because it was built after Tyson's Corner mall. It is a high-end mall with lots of designer shops - if you can afford that. It has a Macy's which is reasonable and some nice restaurants. It's very nice to see around Christmas, they even make it snow indoors!

It has a Macy's which is reasonable and some nice restaurants. It's very nice to see around Christmas, they even make it snow indoors!

This is a hidden local gem of a place! A little theatre that shows wonderful plays with very good actors and at a crazy affordable price - $25 per person! Check out their website to see what's showing

Parks & Nature
A bike trail only 5 min. from the house. This is a bike trail that was built on the land that ran the Washington and Old Dominion Railroad. It's a lovely bike path that wanders through Vienna and if you're a hard-core bike rider you can ride it to the Potomac River (across from D.C) and down to Mount Vernon (weekend warriors shouldn't try that :-). But you could drive down to the George Washington Parkway and start the ride down there, it's a lovely view of the city!
