Turtle Watch in Rekawa Rekawa is 10 km east of Tangalle town. At the beach you can watch five species of marine turtles:Green turtles, Loggerhead turtles, Leatherback turtles, Olive Ridley turtles and Hawksbill turtles laying their eggs in the sand nests at night. The Turtle Conservation Project that conducts a turtle watch programme, which protects the nesting sites until the hatchlings return to the ocean.

Yala Nationalpark Yala Nationalpark is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of, Sri Lankan elephants, leopards and aquatic birds. The number of mammals that has been recorded from the park is 44, and it has one of the highest leopards densities in the world. The Distance from the Villa Star Hill to the Yala NP is around 2.5 hours drive. The park open his gates at 6am. I advise to go there early! The best will be if you start at latest 4am from the Villa with the manager and driver.

Galle Fort The fort has a colourful history, and today has a multi-ethnic and multi-religious population. The Sri Lankan government and many Dutch people who still own some of the properties inside the fort are looking at making this one of the modern wonders of the world. The Galle Fort, also known as the Dutch Fort or the Ramparts of Galle, withstood the Boxing Day tsunami, which damaged part of coastal area Galle town.

The rock is surrounded by Benagala, Kondagala, Bisogala and Seelawathiegala, these rocks all have Buddhist shrines. With the arrival of the Europeans, Mulkirigala was named as Adam’s Berg. It is believed that Europeans confused Mulkirigala with the Sri Pada (Adam’s Peak) and have believed tombs of Adam and Eve were located here.
