Excellent place to relax and grab an exquisite bite prepared by the gourmet chef. Highly recommend for breakfast, brunch or dinner. In addition to main indoor seating area, they have a large enclosed heated porch which is pet-friendly: a huge plus for us. They will bring your dogs water at the same time as they bring it to you. The menu is awesome and they have happy hour as well.

This place is called Pariah Coffee and is located on San Luis pass. The best coffee on the island and for true coffee connoisseurs. The ride is free and you will have a great chance of seeing dolphins playing (more than on a dolphin tour!), the pelicans and other birds. Seawolf Park is located on Pelican Island, just north of Galveston. The Park is a memorial to USS Seawolf, a United States Navy Sargo-class submarine mistakenly sunk by U.S. Navy forces in 1944 during World War II. The park offers one of the island’s most popular fishing piers, beach, picnic sites and a playground. The park is also home to tourist attractions, including the WWII submarine the USS Cavalla and one of only three destroyer escorts in the world, the USS Stewart. The remains of the WWI tanker S.S. Selma, the largest concrete ship constructed, can be seen northwest of the park's fishing pier.

What a wonderful idea to turn a tragic loss of beautiful stately old trees due to hurricane into works of art for all of us to enjoy and enable the turning of some of the bad memories of the terrible destruction of a hurricane into something good.
