Excellent place to relax and grab an exquisite bite prepared by the gourmet chef. Highly recommend for breakfast, brunch or dinner. In addition to main indoor seating area, they have a large enclosed heated porch which is pet-friendly: a huge plus for us. They will bring your dogs water at the same time as they bring it to you. The menu is awesome and they have happy hour as well.

The best Italian restaurant not only in Galveston but probably in Houston. Most certainly on par with best Italian restaurants we visited in Rome and other parts of Italy and not easy to find nowadays in touristy destinations. A combination of small family-owned feel, everything made from scratch delicious foods with great service, ambiance and great wine selections. The prices are also very good.

This place is called Pariah Coffee and is located on San Luis pass. The best coffee on the island and for true coffee connoisseurs. Ranked #1 of "things to do in Galveston" on Trip Advisor. Take a trip on the Ferry between Galveston and The Bolivar Peninsula. The ride is free and you will have a great chance of seeing dolphins playing (more than on a dolphin tour!), the pelicans and other birds. You can drive your car onto the Ferry, park and walk around as it sails. It is fun to watch other cars drive on and off.

http://www.galvestonrrmuseum.com/ This interesting museum has a variety of exhibits, including place settings used in dining cars, model trains, signs, and a large collection of engines and train cars. Part of the museum is the old Galveston train station. The large collection of train cars includes diesel and steam engines, passenger cars, cabooses and freight cars. Some of the engines and cars are in great condition, some look like they were just taken out of service, and some could use some restoration. You can climb on and / or walk through quite a few of the train cars. Great way to spend a few hours!
