Besides the fact that our good friend Sue is one of the owners, the lighthouse has a great atmosphere (clean, contemporary meets vintage styling, and nice staff and customers), it's not too divvy or too pretentious. Located on 25th street, making it easy to stop by before or after dinner! And it usually has live music on the weekends! They also have a great menu (and Sunday brunch)!

Arts & Culture
Ogden is synonymous with the railroad! This historic train station is just full of history, and art, and the Browning gun museum (because the Browning family was also from Ogden). If your kids, or you, are into trains this is a must see!

This historic Victorian mansion was once home is now home to an art gallery. It is really lovely!

Parks & Nature
This paved parkway trail extends from the mouth of Ogden Canyon (at Rainbow Gardens) all the way down the Ogden river to intersect with another parkway trail along the Weber River that runs all the way to Riverdale. It's great for biking/skating/walking with the family. In the downtown area it runs right past Slackwater Pizza, and the High Adventure Park.

This cute and local little Mexican market is the real deal! It's also really close to the house, so it's a great spot to pick up some quick dinner-prep essentials (like limes or cilantro)!

This is our favorite local grocery store, because it usually has fresh local produce, and everything is so cheap! The only downside is that their organic selection is rather limited.

Slackwater is way more than your typical pizza joint. Their menu of really unique gourmet pizza's is unexpected and delicious! They also have some of the best salads and appetizers in Ogden. And while they have the best beer selection in Ogden, I usually get the sangria (which is amazing)! Definitely a must-try while in town! Go early, the place is packed on the weekends! The Sunday brunch options are great too!
