Half a block from Dolores Park and perfect for picking up all the things you need for your picnic, sandwiches, takeout, cheese, wine / beer, chips, snacks, salad, fruit, etc. Tends to cater to the gourmet set, so is on pricey side. Note, the ice cream shop is separate from the grocery store. The lines for the ice cream are insane (can be an hour wait). If you like the people watching and sunshine, go for it… otherwise, I vote you get the soft serve, or they sell the same ice cream in pints at the grocery store.
