Before getting to the Rosco Retreat spend some time here to by supplies to cook in our fully stocked country kitchen or buy fully prepared meals to heat up in our stove or microwave. You will thank me!

Please turn the heat down to 52 before leaving Thanks 🙏 FYI for adults The above route less steep way to get on and off the mountain Recommended for non 4X4s esp If snowing or icy ❄️ Peck’s market in Livingston Manor is the closest nice super market (they close at 5pm) FYI for pets No pets on the furniture or beds (some guests are highly allergic) FYI for kids We have PS4 Bring your own discs The WiFi is #offthegrid but still strong enough for Netflix Cell service is very limited on the mountain or in the woods Elevation = 2025 feet (Fresh mountain air) Sign into our WiFi to get a full one bar of cell service...maybe (Limited mountain access) city95normal All lowercase from HughesNet We have full pots and pans Utensils bedding and towels We have cereal and pancake mix ...complementary (Just bring milk!) The closest nice market is Pecks in Livingston Manor If going hiking... I recommend using the AllTrails app (Download it before getting in the woods!) The Beaver kill has numerous Marked public fishing spots! mostly Alongside Old route 17 We are pet friendly Tipping the maid is recommended if bringing a pet Due to the extra effort and time involved with cleaning up. We have two bins in the laundry room... one for recycle and one for garbage Please do not leave food inside the cabin (Roscoe Retreat) (We have two bins outside by the garage) Only toilet paper 🧻 should be flushed. Nothing else. When checking out transfer the garbage in the laundry room to the outside bins If cooking remove all trash after cooking. Do not keep uncontained/Non refrigerated food inside the cabin over night. The house keeper will pick up and dispose of the garbage Please Do not move the furniture It will scratch the Maple wood floor... Please Do not smoke in the cabin There are ashtrays on the front porch...it takes days to remove the smell from the cabin... If using the dishwasher press start twice to begin the wash Please load the dishwasher with dishes and detergent and start the wash before checking out Check out is at 11am Late check out is not available! Check in is at 3pm Early check in is available! (Please advice if you early or late check in or out) We clean and sanitize according to CDC guidelines! The above are answers to some common questions.
