Big statement here- One of the best pizzas in NYC. Best in the neighborhood. Better than Roberta's, though not quite as well known. This is my go-to delivery pizza place, or it's best to stop in for a couple of slices. This is a simple, no frills, NYC pizza joint. Their grandma pie is the best in the neighborhood, try the paesano, tartufo, or calabrese and a mexican coke!

This is my go-to dine in pizza restaurant, they have high temp, thin crust, brick fired, authentic italian style pies. Plan ahead there is always a wait for Lunch and Dinner. Honestly, everyone knows their pizza, I would suggest getting their salads, apps and entrees. I know, I know, it's a famous pizza place, but I promise there are many other pizza's in NYC as good or better, the best menu items here are non-pizza items.

Another great coffee, tea, and snacks place. They have fast, reliable internet, and a very friendly staff. This is a great option for productivity, and getting work done. The staff couldn't be friendlier, and they offer small Asian food items, and baked goods.

They have very simple, thoughtful Italian cuisine here. This is local Italian family owned, the service, food and wine list are lovely. They also do really nice three and four-course samplings with or without wine :D Great for dates, and my Mom's personal favorite when she comes to visit. Favorites: artichoke salad, burrata with grilled vegetables, polenta with chicken jus and fresh sausage, cavatelli-ragu- pork meatballs, home-made tiramisu.

This is one of the most unique, and beautiful restaurants in New York City! They only have about 10 seats, and they serve Japanese breakfast and comfort food. During day service they offer some of the most elegant fish dishes I've ever had. During the evening they use the bones from the morning fish to create unique, and seasonal soups, stocks, and ramen. A must try! I recommend weekdays between 9am and noon if possible. They are always very busy, and the space is tiny :D

You'll notice I mention a lot of BBQ, as it is probably the one food item I could eat daily and never grow tired of it. The best thing on their menu is the pork belly, and pastrami. Side items I like are broccoli, collard greens, or potatoes. From their site: In the spring of 2007, Joe Carroll opened Fette Sau, a barbeque restaurant with a bar focused on local craft beer, and American Whisky. The menu is simple and focused on the meats, all of which are heritage breeds raised naturally by small family farms and contain no antibiotics or hormones. The barbeque is one part Central Texas and one part New York Deli. The meat is ordered by weight and served on butcher paper.

Texas Style BBQ, brought to you by Chef Ash Fulk of Bravo's Top Chef. This is my favorite BBQ spot in NYC, when i'm in town I eat here 1x a week. Some of the best fresh fish dishes in NYC, and the best Greek restaurant. I love their simple, fresh, grilled with olive oil and lemon juice approach. Try some great Greek wines- they are unique and quite good. Food items- fried cheese, any seafood or fresh fish is always incredible, octopus- perhaps best in the city, whole branzino, grilled sardines, fresh broccolini, greek lemon roasted potatoes, fresh greek custard for dessert!

Chef Mario Batali's tour de Italy. Seriously this place is massive, it is always packed, but there is good reason- everything is delicious. Inside they have 5 different Italian restaurants- fish, meat, pizza, past, beerhall on the roof. Made famous in the movie "When Harry Met Sally"- In 127 years, little has changed at Katz's. It remains one of New York's — and the country's — essential Jewish delicatessens. Every inch of the massive Lower East Side space smells intensely of pastrami and rye loaves. The sandwiches are massive, so they are best when shared. Order at the counter, and don't forget to tip your slicer — your sandwich will be better for it.

Awesome pizza with a tiny backyard and good cocktails. Take out available and their kitchen is open late every night (often until midnight/1am) with two happy hours (a "normal" early happy hour from about 4-7pm and a late night happy hour from 11pm-1am for the "industry folks"--great chance to meet some fun locals. On of the top craft cocktail menus in Central Williamsburg. Five-star people watching. Great for dates, or a quiet solo drink at the bar before 7pm. Cafe Colette, same owners, is a great dinner spot to follow and diagonal from Delmano.

Fun place to go and watch international sports. Huge Czech/German-style beer hall with picnic style tables. The building and architecture are beautiful. They often have a projector playing the latest match. Tons of beer, grill with many different types of fresh house made sausages. Live music, Jazz or even a swing band and dancers on weekends

Once upon a time (like 1800's time) there was an elevated railroad line running along Manhattan's west side. The RR eventually turned into what was known as "the West Side Highway' but fell into disrepair and ultimately closure. But then a group of people came up with the idea to turn the unused elevated structure into a public park and behold! The High Line was born - an elevated public park & walkway that runs from the Meatpacking District to 34th street. It's well worth a visit . Start at the 34th st end, walk the entire length downtown and then walk back up through the neighborhoods below. There's tons to see & do in Meatpacking, Chelsea and beyond.

A personal favorite. One of the finest museums in the US. "Suggested Admission" means if you buy tickets at a museum ticket counter, the amount you pay is up to you. Ticket includes same-day admission to The Met Fifth Avenue, The Met Breuer, and The Met Cloisters. Met Rooftop Bar and Garden offers sweeping views of Central Park and beyond that can be enjoyed with wine, cocktails, and light bites. It is often busy with crowds, but the scenery and the special atmosphere make it well-worth a trip. Try to go on a weekday when the crowds have thinned. Closed Thanksgiving Day, December 25, January 1, and the first Monday in May.

Very big, natural history museum. The American Museum of Natural History (abbreviated as AMNH), located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City, is one of the largest museums in the world. Located in park-like grounds across the street from Central Park, the museum complex comprises 28 interconnected buildings housing 45 permanent exhibition halls, in addition to a planetarium and a library. The museum collections contain over 130 million specimens of plants, humans, animals, fossils, minerals, rocks, meteorites, and human cultural artifacts, of which only a small fraction can be displayed at any given time, and occupies more than 2,000,000 square feet (190,000 m2).

This is the best butcher shop in the neighborhood. It's small but they have incredible local products. Everything from huge bone in ribeyes, fresh house made sausage, and full pork shoulders to a fine selection of fresh vegetables, cheeses, eggs, bone broth, olives, pickles etc. One of my favorite things every week is shopping here and planning meals.

Tiny, beautiful, detail oriented Japanese fresh fish market. They focus on offering only the freshest local fish prepared in traditional Japanese styles. Usually only 3-5 types available for Sashimi, and 3-5 types of fish for cooking. Beautiful store, their cooking classes are wonderful as well
