City/town information

You'll probably have heard of St David's as the 'smallest city in the UK'! Well, it is a gorgeous little place that really comes alive in the summer. There are little shops, cafés and pubs. You can join the Wales Coast Path at Caerfai Bay, walk all the way to Whitesands Beach, then back to St David's.

Porthgain is a gorgeous little harbour and well worth a visit. There are a couple of art galleries to take a look at and some fantastic eateries - The Shed for fish and chips, and The Sloop Inn for pub classics with a view. There's a great walk you can do from Porthgain, along the Wales Coast Path to the Blue Lagoon! Approximately a 2 mile walk.

The lower harbour at Fishguard is a beautiful spot to do a bit of crabbing or to watch the sunset. There's a lovely peaceful quality here. In the summer months, the Yacht Club has a small café which sells drinks and ice cream as well as home made cakes and crab sandwiches!

Newport, Pembrokeshire is a really special place. The high street has some wonderful gems including Blas at Fronlas and The Golden Lion. There are galleries, boutiques and antique shops to explore. Don't leave Newport without taking a walk down to the Parrog. If you're lucky, you'll find Pasta a Mano serving up coffee and fresh pasta (delicious). Visit Newport beach, but get there early to get a spot in the car park!
