Sea World is a must if you are visiting for the summer. The park is open later and there is a firework show during closing hours. Lots to see: local marine life, shows, and amusement rides/roller coasters. It is a great way to spend the day with the family or even date night!

Our zoo is AWESOME! Petting zoo, Elephants, lots of shows and live entertainment walking around. Great for families!

You can ride a bike or walk/jog along the paved path or take a stroll down alongside the hiking path close to the lake. Beautiful and peaceful...especially during sunrise or sunset! Also a good meetup location for group activities on the weekend.

Great views of San Diego! Old lighthouse with lots of hiking. Also, check your tide calendars...on the other side of Cabrillo there are tide pools galore! Don't forget your camera!

The seals on the beach are always entertaining, the children's pool is great for a swim with your family, and there are several places where you could rent a stand up paddle board or kayak to get a closer view of the action.

I especially like this mall because it is not enclosed--so be aware it is not a great place to shop if it is raining...but it is a great place to shop if you want a wide variety of stores and a fun atmosphere. There also have a stage in their food court that sometimes has events and live music. Looking for ice skating? UTC has it! Arc Light Theatre is located in the mall if you would like the experience of a luxurious movie theater and bar. Currently (summer of 2016 and into the fall of 2016) there is a fair amount of construction happening in the mall. Parking is messy, but available. It is also uncharacteristically loud for this mall...
