If you're able to get out to the very tip of the island, you'll see Great Point Lighthouse, and most likely, a lot of grey seals basking in the sun.

Neighborhoods
A quaint and historic fishing village that remains similar to what it looked like in whaling days. If you are visiting in June, the cottages will be covered in roses.

My favorite restaurant. It's pricey, but go for lunch and sit in the garden with the historic carousel horse and roses.

All the way on the west end of the island, this is a casual restaurant for good TexMex, and the best spot to see the sunset. But it gets crowded!

Nothing fancy about this place, but it's popular, so in the high season plan to spend time waiting in line. They do have great live bands all summer though. "The Box" is an iconic bar on the island that has been around for a long time.

Great sandwiches as well as amazing homemade breads. People go crazy for the Portuguese bread. They're big, so a "half" sandwich is usually plenty. Sit out on the picnic tables, oh, and the cookies are really good, too.
